Happy Etsy Day!
April 24th has been declared as "Etsy Day"! That means that buyers, sellers or fans will be shouting "Etsy!" from the rooftops (or at least from blogs, twitter, etc.).
Still confused about what Etsy is? Etsy is a wonderful online community where you can buy and sell all things handmade. I explain Etsy to my friends as an Ebay for unique handmade items. Signing up for an Etsy account is totally free and you are not obligated to buy anything (but I promise you will want to).
Still not sure how to even say "Etsy"? "Etsy" is pronounced like "Betsy" with no B.
What are you waiting for? Start shouting! Or at least go browse the very unique and handmade items that Etsy has to offer.

Bathing Suit Season Is Here
I have quickly been reminded that it is officially swim suit season here in AZ with current temperatures in the 100's. When I was living in TX I had a few more seasons to prepare for this dreaded season but AZ apparently skips Spring and dives right into Summer. Knowing that I will soon be shopping for swim suits helped with my motivation to make the trip to the gym today.
I'm following the Buff Brides workout...a very awesome workout plan that I used right before my wedding. I was one of those brides that bought the dress a size too small and then freaked out about how I was actually going to lose the weight...well this plan worked (I fit into my dress).
Wish me luck...I'm sure I'll need it! Check out these cute workout pants I found on Etsy (owning these would also add to my motivation *hint, hint*)...

Go Green
With Earth Day quickly approaching on April 22nd, I am inspired for Designs by Vanessa to go green! I vow to phase my packaging material from bubble mailers to earth friendly recycled padded envelopes. In searching online for eco-friendly mailers, I found Dolphin Blue. Their packages and labels are made using only post-consumer recycled materials and are printed using only soy and vegetable-based inks. I also love that they donate a portion of their profits to environmental non-profits.
