When she is not sewing, Vanessa enjoys photography, quilting, scrapbooking, reading and watching foreign movies. When asked why she started crafting, Vanessa responds, “I have an amazing mom who is also very creative and I just grew up surrounded by handmade beautiful things. My dad is a great do it yourselfer and it all just rubbed off on me. Why I do it? Just a little thing called sanity”. Vanessa’s work is inspired by several of her friends and family members, including Sarah of Sarah Shabby Shoppe (a cute online scrapbooking store).
