Girl Scout Cookies

It is that time of year again - the girl scouts are out and about hawking those delicious (and evil) cookies! I've been Thin Mint-less far too long and I seriously need to track down a girl scout. If you are a baker, you can try your hand at making your own homemade Thin Mints or Samoas. What are your fave Girl Scout cookies?

I love Thin Mints and Samoas. OMG Samoas are amazing.

Steve ordered some from someone at work but he said "they didn't have Samoas" I said "Balsphemy" LOL he said "I would have ordered them if they did bc I love them". I call BS I bet he didn't look at all. He glanced at the page and didn't see them!! I love them!!!

As you can see I am serious about my cookies LMAO

When that picture popped up in my reader, I had to whip the drool off of my keyboard. I was lucky enough to have a little angel drop by my house, so I've got some Samoas, Thin Mints and Tagalongs headed my way!

Oh NO...That means my youngest Granddaughter will be calling to get me to but the Thin Mints for Papa....Only problem is last year my daughter didn't get them mailed over here and my Grandsons and Son-in-Law ate all three boxes...Needless to say Papa wasn't Happy!!! His Grandsons said to tell him he "Took One For The Team"...He wasn't amused...:)

One of the things I miss about living in the US is the variety of Girl Scout cookies. Here in Canada, the Girl Guides have their version of thin mints (ew to mint cookies in general) and last year some creme sandwich cookies. Personally, I'm a fan of tagalongs--and I found a recipe to make them myself. Time consuming, but better than the commercial ones. http://www.recipezaar.com/Tagalongs-289551

We love all kinds, but my favorite are Thin Mints! A great thing that my daughter's troop is doing this year is selling boxes to be donated to our US troops. Customers may buy as many boxes at $3.50/each as they'd like and "Girl Scout central" sends them directly to the US military for our soldiers! It's a win-win situation! If any of your readers would like to participate, they can always contact me at annmarieweeks@verizon.com. (I hope you don't mind my offering that info...I certainly don't mean to offend or use your blog wrongly).
