New Moon

Yes, I will be out there tonight with the rest of the Twilighters for the New Moon premiere and I can't wait! Mr. Designs by Vanessa, being the supportive hubby that he is, will be braving the hundreds of screaming teens with me. This was my conversation with Mr. Designs by Vanessa before he left to work today...

Me: You do know that we are Team Edward, right?

Mr. Designs by Vanessa: Edward Who?

Me: Edward from Twilight!

Mr. Designs by Vanessa: Oh, yeah (only half listening).

Me: You know if you let me sprinkle some glitter on you, you might look like him.

Mr. Designs by Vanessa: Look like who?

Me: Edward!!

Where the Wild Things Are

Is anyone else super excited to see this movie today? As a child, I read and re-read Where the Wild Things Are (along with Amelia Bedelia books) until the book fell apart. I recently found another copy at a used bookstore and it nostalgically sits on my bookshelf today.

Bon appétit!

A smart women once said, "The only time to eat diet food is while you're waiting for the steak to cook". I saw Julie & Julia over the weekend and I must say that I absolutely loved it and was completely inspired. Both Julie and Julia fiercely went after their passions - writing and cooking. I think I was surprised at how much I related to both of these amazing women - Julie aspiring to be something bigger than herself and Julia fearlessly chasing her dreams without apologies. Maybe I'll visit a used bookstore this week in search of Mastering The Art of French Cooking, not that I will ever master the art of French cooking but I think it will be great inspiration on my bookshelf.

I'm Late For A Very Important Date

Does anyone else love Alice in Wonderland as much as me? I'm super excited for Tim Burton's new Alice in Wonderland movie that comes out in March (not to mention a new Johnny Depp movie). Here are a few Alice inspired pieces by AugustEve to tide you over until then.

Bride Wars

The hubby and I just got home from seeing Bride Wars and I LOVED it! Hubs didn't hate it and that is always a good sign for a chick flick.

The movie is basically about 2 best friends planning their dream weddings but due to a scheduling mishap they were booked for the same date and same time...oops. Bring out the bridezilla claws!

I could totally relate to the wedding planning drama fun...hmm maybe a little too well lol! Has anyone else seen this movie?
