Purple, Purple & More Purple!

The blog carnival topic for this month is to "pick your favorite color and show it in your work"...that's easy for me!

My favorite color is purple, some may call it an obsession. Growing up I had a purple room, literally my walls were painted lavender. In college, my microwave and television were purple and now that I'm married I've managed to slide in a few purple vases and throw pillows into our living room. :-) So, naturally I use a lot of purple in my designs. Here are just a few of my purple designs that can be found in my shop:

Pearls, Crystals and Silver...Oh My!

My mother in law's birthday is coming up, check out the bracelet I made for her. Luckily, she doesn't have access to the internet so the surprise won't be ruined. This sparkly bracelet is made with 4mm amethyst Swarovski crystals, 8mm white Swarovski crystal pearls, 8mm clear Swarovski crystals, silver spacer beads and a sterling silver toggle clasp.



I hope everyone is having a fun filled weekend! We are headed to see the movie Mama Mia...gotta love Abba!

My first etsy sale!

I sold 4 pieces yesterday on etsy!! I hope my customers enjoy wearing these pieces as much as I have enjoyed creating them! I always love seeing other people having fun wearing my designs.

"Earrings of the Earth": These amazing blue/green glass beads remind me of planet earth. In addition to the round glass beads, I used sparkly 4mm crysolite green Swarovski crystals attached to hypoallergenic nickel-free ear wires. These earrings are approximately 2 inches long.





"Purple Passion Wrap Bracelet" This beautiful bracelet is made using different shades of iridescent and solid purple oblong glass beads, 6mm Czech lavender iridescent glass beads and memory wire. This bracelet wraps around the wrist 3 times and is one size fits all.





"Pleasantly Purple Earrings":
These beautiful round purple glass beads pleasantly capture the sunlight just right. In addition to the 8mm round glass beads, I used sparkly 6mm clear Swarovski crystals attached to hypoallergenic nickel-free ear wires. These earrings are approximately 1 ¾ inches.

Yummy Purple Berries

"Purple Berry Earrings" are made using metal leaf bead caps, 8mm amethyst crystal bicones, and hypoallergenic nickel-free ear wires. Earrings are approximately 1 3/4 inches long. These look yummy enough to eat minus the calories!

These sparkly dangle earrings are made with clear pink round glass beads, 4mm lilac Swarovski crystals and hypoallergenic nickel-free ear wires.

Purple Obsession

Everyone who knows me knows of my love (some might say obsession) for purple. In college I had purple bedding, purple trash can, purple microwave, purple computer...you get the point. I would paint the whole house lavender if my hubby would let me but according to him- lavender is not "manly". I’m still trying to convince him that lavender is in fact a very manly and tough color but in the meantime I'll have to settle for a few purple throw pillows.

"Pretty Purple": The wrap bracelet wraps around the wrist 3 times and is one size fits all. It is made with memory wire, square glass beads (different shades of iridescent and solid purple) and shimmery lavender irridescent glass beads. The dangle earrings are made with the same glass beads, silver spacer beads and hypoallergenic nickel-free ear wires. This set is a lot like the red set that I posted about yesterday except I added a few more sparkly larger beads. I love how this one came out...I just might keep it for myself (it matches my throw pillows!).

Lovely Lilac

Here is my latest creation and one of my favorites: "Lovely Lilac"

This sparkly cuff bracelet is made with stunning 4mm lilac Swarovski crystals, silver spacer beads and memory wire. Four dangles are attached to the ends of the memory wire loops (you can see the dangles in the third pic). The great thing about memory wire is that it is one size fits all and you don't need to worry about clasps.
